Russian Flower Power took on new meaning when a Russian artist commissioned some gun enthusiasts to take aim at a BMW 3-Series with riffles and draw pretty flowers with the bullet holes. This has to be the first Art Helicopter on Wheels I have ever seen. It's a very cool way to ride and travel the country. I am not sure if its got all the amenities for cross country travel but it sure looks fantastic. Its got a great American flag paint job on the nose with shark teeth as well. Nice use of an old and classic helicopter.

Many of us have them, a worn out, beat down, cheerio in the crack riding ghetto stroller that is now on its final trip to McDonald's. This first installment of Pimp my Stroller is all the rage right now with the kids, sick paint job, 14" spinning rims and crazy seat covers. I think I even saw a stereo system.

Japanese Car Tree - Christmas will never be the same again

That's right folks, Christmas will never be the same again because of this one image of a Japanese Car Tree. This comes to us via a Japanese Junkyard were a Japanese hackberry tree sprouted from a seed 25 years ago and managed to lift a car in the air. The workers there built a small fence around the tree protecting it as it grows. I think this is the birth of a whole new line of Christmas ornaments that will enabling consumer recycle all the old cars from going to waste. The only problem see is finding a base strong enough to support the tree from falling down on top of the kids Christmas morning. Would this be covered under your car insurance, who knows.

Art Truck Bed By Patrick Amiot- A Great Place to Crash

I found this art truck bed yesterday photo taken by David Bacigalupi from Armstrong Associates and I had to post it on art car central. The funny thing is that hours later on my walk around Sebastopol California I decided to go visit my friend Patrick Amiot who creates the most amazing and whimsical sculptures made from junk. His work is all around town and many are located on Sebastopol's famous Florence street. He is also the creator of the Shark Art Car and has many more art cars on his web site. So I am chatting away with Patrick and Brigitte in the back studio when he offers to give a tour of the house. The first stop was the bedroom and what did I see??? This amazing Art Truck Bed right there just like in the picture. It was totally weird how only hours ago I had made a mental note to put it up on my blog. After I saw it I knew it had to put it up, and so here it is. I love how it has the gas tanks for bed posts and the old GMC grill.

There are many art cars but only few are chosen to be featured on Google Street View by the all seeing eye. Its pretty amazing and and the same time a bit creepy, especially because I live off the beaten path in the country. Anyways these art cars have achieved yet again another level of fame and this time on the world famous Google Street View. I am excited because my Mercedes Pens Art Car covered in 10,000 was selected along with my mail box and the other lucky art car winners chosen at random. Also featured on Google Street View is the Sticker Car, the Post-it Car, Our Lady of Eternal Combustion, Jesus Chrysler and the The Danger Car.

Car Rim Hat revealed at Paris Fashion Week

Shocking fashion wear made with a car hub cap was made by British fashion designer Alexander McQueen. This hubcap wearing model caught my eye only because of the car rim fashioned into a hat for this pour model who had to balance a ton of aluminum on her head. The article was written by Liz Jones and goes on to describe the rest of the show with many more pictures that I dare not post. I am no fashion writer but to me it looks like the fifth element landed in a scrap yard, which is exactly were it was held at this years Fashion Week in Paris. Why post this on Art Car Central you ask? Its car related and its on the artistic side of the spectrum, therefore it belongs as the wackiest thing thus far. Next year I really would like to see Alex give us something in spinner rims and a sound system. Or maybe cover the model in rubber duckies and barbie dolls. Can you imagine a model wearing hydraulic pumps bouncing down the runway?
